McMath Woods is not a high-volume injury firm. We work a small number of cases at any given time, which means clients get our full attention. Nearly all client contact is with attorneys, rather than staff or case managers.
Firm Background: A Legacy of Service
McMath Woods was founded in 1953 by Sidney S. McMath, Leland F. Leatherman, and Henry Woods. The three established the law firm after McMath completed two terms as Arkansas’ Governor, with Woods and Leatherman serving in McMath’s administration. The three dedicated their practice to representing those injured or wronged in personal injury and consumer matters. McMath and Woods developed a national reputation for representing plaintiffs in personal injury cases.
McMath was elected President of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, and Woods was appointed as a United States District Court Judge and authored a legal treatise on comparative fault.
